Shibori is a Japanese manual resist dyeing technique, which produces patterns on the fabric, dating back to the 18th century. This is a cotton back with a 20 oz. heavy soft white linen, and backed with our soft white 15oz Belgian linen.
Zipper closure, all seams are overlocked, and sewn with a 1/2″ flange edge.
We have two available with different patterns and the vintage cloth has seams that were originally sewn together on the front side.
Condition: Good. Early fabric is very clean, small flaws may be present, on the tie died face we notice small patches and original seams. Free from stains. Can be washed in cold, and hang dry. Wear consistent with age and use.
